Meet John!

Owner and Certified Pet Aesthetician

I started grooming cats in 2016 when I began running my salon in Edmonds.  In 2019 I became a Certified Pet Aesthetician, one of about 60 in the US, and the only Cat Exclusive groomer to do so.  Being a Certified Pet Aesthetician allows me to understand the how and why the skin and coat do some of the things they do.  As such I am able to use restorative therapies to help bring the skin and coat back to a place it is able to take care of itself.  I regularly attend continuing education classes locally and nationally, as well as work with a premium brand of grooming products to sell to and educate other groomers on at grooming shows.  I also hold certifications in Salon Sanitation and Infectious Diseases among others.  In addition to my wife and 2 daughters I have 3 cats of my own: Mocha, Carmel, and Leonard aka Lenny.  I try my hardest to make this salon a calm and welcoming environment for cats and continually purchase and try new equipment and processes to make the end result both better but also keep all of the cats that come in here as low stress as I can.  Chances are if you have called the salon I have not answered the phone as working on cats is always a priority to me, so if I am in the middle of a groom (which I am most of the day) I do not answer the phone.  If you do have questions for me to answer I welcome you leaving a voicemail and I will do my best to call you back when possible!
